Fernando Triana has been Fernando Triana has successfully practiced as a lawyer for more than 36 years, as a litigator in matters related to Industrial Property, New Creations and Commercial Law, having been recognized for his work by important publications such as “Best Lawyers” and “World Trademark Review 1000” that since 2013 place him in the first places of the most outstanding professionals in his area of expertise. His excellent professional performance has led him to receive nominations from “Managing Intellectual Property” for IPStar and “Best of the Best Latin America” to join the list of the 40 most prominent trademark law professionals in Latin America, as well as other important recognitions.
Currently, he participates as an active member of several Arbitration Centers in Colombia, having served as a judge in several procedures, in his capacity as an expert in the area of commercial law. He is also associated as an arbitrator specialized in Industrial Property issues, with international organizations such as the Inter-American Association of Industrial Property (ASIPI), the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), National Arbitration Forum (NAF) and American Intellectual Property Law Association (AIPLA). He has been an active member of ASIPI, having served as its president for the fouryear period of 2009-2012. His professional work has allowed him to know first-hand the advancement and progress of justice and the answer to current needs, as a result from the new demands imposed by
the worlds health situation due to the pandemic.
