
The Caribbean island of Aruba welcomes ASIPI and its attendees to this Seminar. It will be 3 days of meetings with an intense academic workload pertaining counterfeiting, with top-level speakers.
The day began with the meeting of the Administrative Council in which the members of the Executive Committee reported the activities they have developed over the past three months, when they took office during the Congress of Cartagena in December 2015.
There have been great advances in both the external and internal level of the Association. Important approaches with sister and local associations, high-impact projects, collaboration agreements, and the integration of the Working Committees, have been on the agenda.
Meanwhile, the National Delegates presented a report on developments in their countries on Intellectual Property.
Presidents and Secretaries of the Working Committees also had their space to comment on the projects they are undertaking. There are many projects to be done, and much enthusiasm to conduct them.
After 3 hours, the President of ASIPI, Maria del Pilar Troncoso, ended the meeting by thanking the presence of all attendees and convening the next meeting during the Work Sessions in Buenos Aires from December 4 to 7, 2016.
In the afternoon it took place the meeting of the Working Committees, in which the Committees discussed ongoing projects and established a work schedule.
The day ended with the Opening Cocktail at the terrace of Hilton Hotel.
