What are
the ASIPI Scholarships?

The ASIPI–UNH Franklin Pierce Scholarship Program offers the opportunity to receive scholarships that cover 100% of the tuition for various intellectual property training programs offered by the UNH Franklin Pierce School of Law.

The scholarships are awarded through an essay contest in English on topics related to intellectual property and are intended for professionals interested in furthering their academic education and advancing their careers in this field.

How to apply?

Follow these steps to participate in the 2027 scholarship competition

Download the rules

Read the contest rules for the program you wish to apply to (JD/LLM/MIP or IPSI).

Write your essay

Write an original essay in English on a topic related to intellectual property, in accordance with the guidelines of the selected program.

Prepare your cover letter

Indicate the program or programs to which you are applying. If you are applying to both the JD and the Master's program at the same time, please state this explicitly.

Submit before January 29, 2027

Send your essay + cover letter to [email protected] before the deadline.

Await the results!

Winners will be notified no later than March 30, 2027. If you are selected as a winner, you must confirm your participation by April 15, 2027.

Frequently Asked Questions

Both ASIPI members and non-members who meet the program requirements may apply. Members must be up to date with their dues. Non-members must belong to a country in the Americas and, if selected as winners, must apply for ASIPI membership.

  • 1 scholarship for the Hybrid J.D. in IP, Technology and Information Law
  • 2 scholarships for the Master's programs (LLM/MIP)
  • 3 scholarships for the Intellectual Property Summer Institute (IPSI) courses

The applicant must submit a written work (essay) on an intellectual property topic that meets the requirements outlined in the Rules for each program to which he/she applies.

The deadline for submission of the written work is January 29, 2027.

The paper should be sent to [email protected] along with the cover letter.

The scholarship only covers the tuition costs. Travel, lodging, living and other expenses are the responsibility of the scholarship recipient.

If the applicant wishes to participate in both competitions, they must submit two essays: one for the IPSI program competition and another for the Master's degrees and JD competition.

The Qualifying Jury will announce the selected essays no later than March 15, 2027. Winners will be notified no later than March 30, 2027 and must confirm their participation before April 15, 2027.
