Buenos Aires is a safe city, but as in any big city in the world, it is necessary to take some precautions. For example, do not leave bags and wallets hanging chairs in public places or walk at night through dimly lit streets.

Tourist Ombudsman:
If during your visit to Buenos Aires you suffer any kind of abuse or discrimination, contact the Tourist Ombudsman (Tel. 4302-7816). You can also attend personally to AV.Pedro de Mendoza 1835 (Museum of Fine Arts “Benito Quinquela Matín”), in the neighborhood of La Boca, from Monday to Sunday from 10.00 to 6.00 pm. Email: [email protected]. Also you may visit the Tourist Information Centers of the City (CIT).

Tourist Police Station:
They receive 24 hours complaints for crimes, robberies, thefts, losses, among others, and help with special procedures before embassies or consulates. There are English, Italian, French, Portuguese, Ukrainian and Japanese’s interpreters.
