Curriculum Vitae

Mónica Zuluaga (María Mar®), is an Artbogada®; artist, singer, songwriter, and lawyer specializing in intellectual property and entertainment law. Her experience has mostly focused on helping artists, creator, and entrepreneurs to leverage and empower their creations and projects from a legal perspective. Mónica is a consultant, advisor, and trainer in music management and copyright for the Ministry of Culture, the Medellin Town Hall, Parque Explora, and Fundación EPM, among others. She is a consultant on Intellectual Property for different institutions of higher education, the CEO of Hemisferio Derecho® and Escuela de Artbogados®®, and sits on the board of USM COLOMBIA, a Musician’s Union. Mónica also writes a column for Revista Música, co-created the Dr. Rocks podcast on entertainment law, is an honorary member of ELAPI (Latin American School of Intellectual Property), and is an active member of Cecolda and ASIPI. She has produced four albums: “Perlas” (2022), “Siete+Uno” (2018-2020), “Reserva Especial” (2014) – which received a stimulus for record production from the Medellin Secretary of Culture – and “Divino mío” (2009). She has toured her music in Argentina, Brazil, Peru, Mexico, and Costa Rica; has been selected to participate as an artist at the Bomm, Circulart, and Fimpro music business roundtables; has participated extensively in the cultural agenda of the city of Medellin; and has been a guest soloist with the Medellin Philharmonic Orchestra and Camerata Jaibaná.
