The Inter-American Association of Intellectual Property (ASIPI) presents this project in order to educate the youngest of our countries (between 6 and 14 years old) on IP so as to ensure that they generate public opinion and are critical on the information they receive.

As a precedent to this project, some member countries such as Mexico, have achieved the inclusion of teaching the subject in primary schools with is a highly motivation for all countries in the region.

The association has developed its own teaching material in the activities it carries out in different schools and educational centers of the region. These activities have had a multiplying effect, but we still have a long way to go together with children and young people.

Objectives:

  • Promote, raise awareness and spread Intellectual Property in our member countries.
  • Promote the creativity of individuals through the dissemination of Intellectual Property as something that must be respected.
  • Promote respect for Intellectual Property in children and young people as a cultural necessity and not because the law promotes it.
  • Facilitate access to the digital world, thinking that children and young people are digital alphabets and this is their language.
