ASIPI dresses up in tango

Buenos Aires with its cultural richness, its gastronomy, its sports passion and its wonderful people, welcomed more than 600 participants who attended the XIX Work Sessions and Administrative Council of ASIPI from December 4 to 7. And every ASIPI event is unique. Each one carries the ‘imprint’ of the country and the reality of the moment reflected in the academic and social agenda that is offered. Days prior to the beginning of the Work Sessions were of a lot of work within the Association with meetings of the Executive Committee, the Administrative Council and the Working Committees. Projects, guidelines, evaluations, agreements, were present throughout those days, always with the sole objective of strengthening the Association to achieve a greater impact

The XIX Work Sessions and Administrative Council of ASIPI culminates

ASIPI successfully concluded its last day of the XIX Work Sessions and Administrative Council. The academic agenda of today addressed the interesting and contradictory themes of biotechnologies inventions, proof of use of a trademark and the image of celebrity athletes, which were very well received. Likewise, ASIPI presented for the first time in a Latin American forum two projects, one in collaboration with INTA – Trademark Impact Study- and another with WIPO, the ‘Inventors Assistance Program’. Both works are pioneers in their area, and were made available to the public for analysis and possible participation. The XIX Work Sessions and Administrative Council of ASIPI continue

The academic program of the Conference continues to successfully develop. Today’s agenda began with the meeting/breakfast of the Executive Committee with the directors of the intellectual property and copyright offices of the region. The meeting was a success, where the current situations of the countries, new forms of cooperation with ASIPI, and future projects to be developed were discussed. The round of specialized workshops began, with a great attendance of those enrolled in the event. Excellent start to the academic agenda of the Buenos Aires Work Sessions

With a large audience, the academic agenda of the Work Sessions began. Aldo Di Paolantonio, of Levin Global of Argentina and Julio Pereira of PCM Abogados of Chile, masterfully addressed the topic of “The most valuable assets of a company: Valuation of Intangibles and Financial Strategies for Management” under the moderation of Manuel Polanco of the firm Bolet & Terrero. Then, on the panel “Trans Pacific Partnership (TPP): What does it incorporate to IP ?, Felipe Lopeandía, Head of the TPP Department of Chile, referred to the issues and proposals raised throughout the negotiation process of this agreement, and Probir Mehta, Assistant US Trade Representative for Innovation and Intellectual Property, emphasized the importance of promoting innovation and ensuring its protection

The XIX Work Sessions and Administrative Council of ASIPI successfully begin

The beautiful city of Buenos Aires welcomes ASIPI and the attendees of this conference, for 4 intense days of meetings, panels and workshops of high academic level. The day began with the Administrative Council meeting where the members of the Executive Committee gave a report on all the activities carried out since the last session of the Council, held last March in Aruba.
