Historic Downtown Tour:

At 09:00 hrs. Departure to begin the visit. We will visit the most representative places of this great metropolis with more than 20 million inhabitants. The first part is on foot. The Plaza de la Constitución or Zócalo, is the third largest square in the world. On its sides we will find the first attractions. The National Palace, The Metropolitan Cathedral, the largest church in Latin America, and where we can see, among other things, the famous “Santo Cristo del Veneno” or “Black Christ” which they say is very miraculous. Next to the Cathedral are the ruins of Templo Mayor, which is precisely the heart of the birth of Greater Tenochtitlán, which we will see from the outside. We will travel by vehicle to the Plaza de las Tres Culturas, which shows vestiges of pre-Hispanic, colonial and modern constructions. We find in this place the Church where San Juan Diego was baptized, as well as the esplanade where the events of the student massacre took place in 1968. From outside our guide will show us and explain the main points. We go to a Crafts Market, for a visit of approximately 30 minutes, so that our passengers can purchase their typical souvenirs and gifts. From here, we will admire from the vehicle the Paseo de la Reforma with its Independence monument commonly called “El Ángel”. If the authorities allow it, we can go down to take a photo with the most important monument in Mexico. We will continue through Reforma to locate and admire from the vehicle the Chapultepec Forest where the Castle that was the residence of Emperor Maximilian and Mexican presidents, the Lake, the National Auditorium and the Museum of Anthropology are located. There are not stops in this places. Return to the hotel. Lunch menu at El Bajío Bolivar
restaurant with a soft drink or water included.
