This workshop is offered as a collaboration between ASIPI and WIPO and is designed so that the participant has the practical experience of drafting claims taking into consideration the most common formats and requirements according to the technological field of interest. As part of the workshop, the correct identification of the inventive concept will be reinforced, as well as important concepts and drafting techniques will be explained for small molecule inventions, secondary inventions, formulations, polymorphs, pharmacotechnics, synthesis processes, microorganisms, sequences, antibodies and gene therapy. The workshop will also be available to those interested in inventions of mechanical devices, electrical/electronic circuits and systems, client-server, and computer-implemented inventions.

At the end of the workshop, a final exercise will be evaluated to certify the advanced knowledge of the participant as a patent drafter.
