Danny Marti oversees the global public affairs function at Tencent, a leading technology and entertainment company recognized as one of the World’s Best Companies (Time, 2023). At Tencent, Mr. Marti serves as a member of the Tencent Americas Management Committee and as the Executive Sponsor of the DEI Council. Mr. Marti also serves on various boards, including Ironhide Studios (Montevideo) and Tequila Works (Madrid), and as a Board Observer at Funcom (Oslo).
Mr. Marti has enjoyed a long career in both public and private service dedicated to IP and innovation policy. Mr. Marti served at the White House as President Obama’s U.S. Intellectual Property Enforcement Coordinator and was sworn into office by then-Vice President Biden. Earlier, Mr. Marti served as Head of Global Government Affairs at London-based RELX Group; Vice Chairman of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Global Innovation Policy Center; and as Managing Partner of the Washington, D.C. office of Kilpatrick Townsend & Stockton.
Mr. Marti is a graduate of Georgetown University (BA) and Emory University School of Law (JD).
