On October 22, 2020, it was held the first roundtable of the year 2020 in Panama on “OPERATION OF DIGERPI DURING THE PANDEMIC.”

For this purpose, Mr. Leonardo Uribe, General Director of the Industrial Property Registry, was our special guest who shared his experience as head of DIGERPI and how has been his battle during this time of pandemic.

Mr. Uribe prepared a very complete presentation, which addressed issues such as the obstacles encountered in DIGERPI, how they have been overcome and continue to overcome them, the challenges and opportunities to improve the system.

He also gave us details on the upcoming implementation by the end of the year of the long-awaited IPAS online filing system, and gave us a sneak peek at what the innovative online system will look like.

Valuable contributions were made regarding the operation of DIGERPI during these months of pandemic, all with the aim of improving the work.
